Whether it’s controversial or casual, I love getting the chance to use my voice to talk about some serious (and not so serious) topics via an array of amazing media outlets.

From raising dudes, to dating, to Disneyland.

My lifestyle and parenting writing pieces are regularly published in mainstream Australian publications.

My sweet story of success

In the years after music really mattered and when radio was king but before the world of influencers and instagram, there was a magical moment filled with magazines.

Glossies. Ahh glossies. * pauses to take in a moment of nostalgia *

I remember catching the train from Central back to the Illawarra in the pitch black winter cold of June, circa 2008ish.

I was holding a magazine with my very own byline. Someone had actually published the name of that weird lady with the nut-surname in print.

It was freezing. And wet. It was a miserable f*cking day.

I had a 2 hour journey ahead of me but I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

I thought I was the shit.

You can read more about my first published words and my award winning BTN report HERE.

All I ever wanted was to see my name - MY NAME - as the person credited for writing words on a magazine.

I did it. I actually f*cking did it.

I had made it!

I was 21.

And so, I claimed success. Quit my job and I never worked another day in my life.

HA! I wish.

Fast forward 15 years and turns out I’m the kind of person who just sets more goals when they reach the original ones.

Over the years I’ve had bylines in most of the major publications within Australia. Back then it was places like Mother and Baby and Pregnancy and Birth.

These days I’ve gone digital - news.com.au, The Sydney Morning Herald, Kidspot, Mamamia, Women’s Agenda and The Daily Telegraph - and I’ve also expanded my writing services to offer copywriting and blog writing.

I guess it wasn’t the byline I was searching for after all - it’s the writing that I truly love.
